MLE's competitive eating site to feature Eats of Strength Section

The new major League Eating site is now up at www.ifoce.com, and, in addition to a virtual Hall of Fame, there will be an Eats of Strength section.

There is a buzz over what this section will feature, but it seems likely that it will highlight specific contests/records that stand out in history.

Members of the esophascenti already have suggested that Sonya Thomas' 65 hard boiled eggs in 6 minutes and 47 seconds should be featured. Others have pointed to Takeru Kobayashi's 50 hot dogs and buns at Nathan's in 2001.

Surprisingly, more than two dozen members of the eating faithful have suggested that the Lipsitz/Seiken pickle battles should top the list of eating heroics.
